The Lower Florida KeysMiddle Torch Key and Big Torch Key, FLContinuing down the Overseas Highway don’t miss the next right turn which will take you north or bayside to Middle Torch Key then onto Big Torch Key. This area is sparsely populated as most of consist of wetlands. Home prices for dry lot homes start at $150,000 and waterfront begin at $300,000 and go up to over $2 million for open water estates. The ride to the end of Big Torch is a popular one for cyclist as it is approximately 11 miles in each direction with little or no traffic on the road. Also a local’s favorite spot is the culverts that move water under the road which connects Middle Torch to Big Torch Key. They make an excellent swimming hole as you ride the current under the road in what the locals call the tubes.
